European Project Designers Hub
Catalyzers Involved:
Flumi, in collaboration with The ICNAC, has established the European Project Designers Hub, a space dedicated to advancing knowledge exchange, capacity building, and professional standards among Project Designers across Europe.
Launched in 2024 during the Linecheck Festival in Milan, the Hub has since evolved into a dynamic network bringing together more than thirty-five professionals from eight European countries. Its overarching goal is to foster a stronger, fairer, and more cohesive ecosystem for project design through training, peer exchange, and advocacy.
The initiative addresses key challenges within the sector, including limited peer connection, low visibility, and the absence of shared professional frameworks, while promoting collaboration and recognition for a role that is essential to the development and success of cultural projects across Europe.
During its first year, the Hub established an executive committee representing six countries, launched a capacity-building programme, and initiated structured dialogue with European stakeholders. The Hub was officially presented to the public at the ENCATC Congress 2025 in Barcelona, a leading international forum for cultural operators and policy-makers.
As Europe approaches the next EU Multiannual Financial Framework (2027), the European Project Designers Hub aims to consolidate its governance, expand its membership, and contribute to shaping the future of project design as a strategic and recognised profession within the European cultural landscape.
